Swimming at Sylvan Lake Beach Park for REGISTERED_CAMPERS and their REGISTERED GUESTS will be from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. Swimming hours posted on the beach.
There is to be NO SWIMMING at any other time regardless of the number of adults present, as these are the times when the safety equipment will be on the beach and when the emergency phone will be in use.
We are required by the Dutchess County Department of Health to notify you of these rules, to ensure that water rescue equipment is at the beach side and that the swimming area is maintained in a sanitary manner. In the interest of your safety and that of your guests, we require you to follow these rules.

RECEIVED AND READ AND SIGNED MAY USE THE BATHING AREA. FAILURE TO SIGN AND RETURN THIS
AND/OR USE THE BATHING AREA PROPERLY OR IN VIOLATION OF THE RULES SET HEREIN WILL
NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE EVICTION FROM SYLVAN LAKE BEACH PARK, INC. WITHOUT ANY REFUNED
MONEY.
NEVER SWIM ALONE. A minimum of two adults, 18 years of age or older, must be present whenever this swimming facility is in use. One adult must be on shore.
THERE JS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ADEQUATE SUPERVISION.
Children under 16 years of age must be
accompanied to the bathing facility by a parent or guardian, or an adult who is responsible for the children and their behavior.
This supervisory adult must remain with the minor (s) the entire time the minor (s) is (are) at the beach area or in the water itself.
IN AN EMERGENCY, NOTIFY THE FACILITY OPERATOR AND CONTACT HELP IMMEDIATELY.
A free telephone is provided at this facility. It is located in a green box on side of beach sign on the beach. The emergency
contact number is 911. Our location is 18 McDonnells Lane, Hopewell Junction N.Y. Our phone number is 845-221-9889.
There is also an air horn in the emergency box mounted on the side of the beach sign to be used to summon help in an
emergency.
NO ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED IN OR AROUND THE BEACH/SWIMMING AREA, WHICH INCLUDES THE GRASSY AREA OF THE BEACH.
NO BALL AND/OR FRISBEE PLAYING ALLOWED ON THE GRASSY AREA OF THE BEACH.
NO FLOTATION DEVICES AND/OR BALL PLAYING BEYOND THE SHALLOW END OF THE SWIMMING AREA.
NO DIVING OFF RAFT. DO NOT SWIM UNDER THE RAFT.
NO SWIMMING BEYOND THE ROPES.
NO BOATS AND/OR PADDLE BOARDS ALLOWED IN THE SWIMMING AREA
WHEN WEATHER IS INCLEMENT; if there is thunder or lighting, the manager will clear the water area immediately until the weather clears up.
Injuries can be prevented and safety is everyone's responsibility. If you notice any problem with water quality or the absence of safety equipment, please notify us at once.
I have read and understand and agree to abide by the bathing safety rules at this facility. I understand there will be no lifeguard on duty at this facility during the posted hours of operation. I will abide by the rules listed above.
