(SH19-SH28, CHALET) These sites are in the Chalet Loop at Soldier Hollow. The camping loop share an entrance with the Deer Creek Trailhead.

From SLC - Take 1-80 East towards Cheyenne. (24 miles) Take the US - 40 (Exit 146) towards Heber/Vernal. Travel approximately 15 miles until you come to a stoplight. Turn RIGHT on River Road. At the round-a-bout, take the 3rd exit to stay on river road. Travel south on river road . Turn left onto UT-113 S Center Street. Travel south about two miles. Turn right onto Tate Lane. Turn left onto Soldier Hollow Lane/Stringtown Road. The Chalet Loop is found in .25 miles on the left. It shares an entrance with the Deer Creek Trailhead.
From Provo - Take US 189 North towards Heber City. (Approximately 22 miles) After the Deer Creek Reservoir, turn LEFT onto HWY 113. At the train tracks in 2 miles turn Left onto Tate Lane. Turn left onto Soldier Hollow Lane/Stringtown Road. The Chalet Loop is found in .25 miles on the left. It shares an entrance with the Deer Creek Trailhead.

ALERT - Amenities at the Chalet have changed from previous years. The large field below the Chalet is not part of the Chalet reservation. There is no room for RVs at the Chalet group site. Parking will be limited to 12 individual vehicles. Any trailer that accompanies those vehicles must be able to turn around on a single lane road. Overnight stays will need to sleep inside the Chalet or in tents in the area immediately surrounding the Chalet.
Patrons occupying either a Cabin, Group Use Area or Campsite agree to accept property in its present state of cleanliness. They agree to return the property in the same condition or pay a minimum cleaning fee if the park staff has to have the property professionally cleaned. This also will apply for fixing or replacing damaged items.

No Hammocks will be allowed to be used within Wasatch Mountain State Park Camping and Group Use Areas unless they are FREE STANDING. We appreciate your kind attention to this matter.
