NO OVERNIGHT USAGE ALLOWED - THIS SHELTER OR RECREATION BUILDING IS FOR DAY USE ONLY. Tents, dining flies, and other camping units are not allowed in shelter areas or recreation building areas. These are day-use facilities only and must be vacated each day by the designated check out time.
For cars, trucks and campers, the entrance fee is $7 per vehicle for in-state plates and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state plates, seven days a week including holidays. For pedestrians, bicycles, buses and passenger vans, the entrance fee is $2 per person. When staying overnight, you will be required to pay the entrance fee the first time you enter and your receipt will serve as your in/out pass the remainder of your stay. In-state annual entrance permits (AEPs) are $50. Out-of-state annual entrance permits are $70. Golden Hoosier permits are $25.
MIDDLE SHELTER WILL ACCOMMODATE UP TO 20 PEOPLE USING THE INTERIOR OF THE SHELTER. ADDITIONAL TABLES FOR UP TO 16 PEOPLE ARE ARRANGED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SHELTER MAKING THE TOTAL OF 36 PEOPLE. PEOPLE RESERVING THIS SHELTER NEED TO REMEMBER THAT THE SHELTER WILL ONLY ACCOMMODATE 20 PEOPLE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. DIRECT ACCESS TO THIS SHELTER BY STAIRS FROM THE PARKING LOT. ACCESSIBLE ROUTE BEGINS AT TENNIS COURT SHELTER. (WEST TO TENNIS COURT RESTROOM, AND THEN EAST TO MIDDLE SHELTER) APPROX. 365 YARDS. 35X12 PARTIALLY ENCLOSED SHELTER WITH FLAGSTONE FLOORING. 15 AMP ELECTRICAL SERVICE, 2 OUTLETS. 5 PICNIC TABLE, 5' LONG. SMALL GRILL AND FIREPLACE GRILL. 20 PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE BUT PARKING NOT GUARANTEED. ADDITIONAL PARKING CLOSE BY. LOCATED IN A DIRT SURFACED, HIGH TRAFFIC AREA WITH NO ACCESS ROAD. 27' TO WATER SUPPLY, 55' TO MODERN AND ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS. PLAYGROUND 800', NATURE CENTER 200'.
