NO OVERNIGHT USAGE ALLOWED - THIS SHELTER OR RECREATION BUILDING IS FOR DAY USE ONLY. Tents, dining flies, and other camping units are not allowed in shelter areas or recreation building areas. These are day-use facilities only and must be vacated each day by the designated check out time.

IMPORTANT: If you are intending to use the area outside/surrounding the shelter structure, please contact the park office for any rules that might impact your gathering/use at that shelter. (Examples include, but are not limited to: company picnics, weddings, large meetings, etc.)

RULES WILL BE EMAILED:Please make sure your email address on file is current and accurate. Approximately 7-10 days prior to arrival, you will receive an emailed list of rules for the Red Cross Cabin from Spring Mill State Park Management. Please be sure to read the information provided prior to your arrival at the park. Thank you.

Red Cross Cabin is located on the site of the Pine Hill Shelter. The site has two CCC era water fountains with spigots to access water for containers. There is a large grassy area that is included with the building. There is a group grill and a fire ring. There are 3 parking spaces for accessibility. No additional vehicles can be parked in the area. The Lakeview Activity Center parking lot must be used. The gate to this area is opened each morning. The area is shaded with some sun. The site is located near the Lakeview Activity Center and boat rental. Trail 2 leaves from the area providing access to the Pioneer Village with a 1/2 mile hike.
