Evergreen Shelter (previously Picnic Area E) is a large group area located across the creek from the main parking lot. Vehicle access is allowed for loading and unloading only.
Day use facility only (no overnight use).
Day Use hours:
May 1 - September 30: Check in 8:00 am. Check out by 8:00 pm.
October 1 - April 30: Dawn to dusk (approximately 8:00 am to 6:00 pm) Please call the park if you have any questions regarding check in and check out procedures.
Base rate includes the first 50 people, $1.00 per person thereafter. Maximum of 200 people.
$5.00 per vehicle day use permit or annual pass is required. Valid camping receipt is also accepted.
2 electrical outlets, sink and water.
Fireplace in shelter, 2 BBQ stands outside.
Restroom, swimming, trail access nearby.
Nice lawn area.
Firewood available in campground ($6 per cubic foot).
Group is responsible for cleaning shelter area.
While reservations can be made for multiple days, camping/overnight occupancy is not allowed. Daily check in and checkout time will still apply on a multiple-day reservation.
Cancellation and Change Policy for Special Facilities-
Cancellations made one month to the day prior to arrival will receive a refund of all camping fees. For cancellations made less than one month to the day of arrival OPRD retains the first night fees.
Changes made one month or more to the day of arrival incur an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five days that are later changed to fewer days will be charged a fee equal to the daily site fee for each day canceled as well as the $8 transaction fee.
Changes are not allowed within one month of arrival. If the last day to change falls on a weekend or holiday, you have until 5 p.m. on the following business day to change your reservation.
Reservation and transaction fees are non-refundable.
