GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MONADNOCK STATE PARK DAY USE AREA
Monadnock State Park is located in and around the 3,165-ft. Mount Monadnock in south west New Hampshire. With over 30 miles of trails, Monadnock is thought to be one of the most hiked mountains in the world. The park offers year round recreational opportunities including hiking, camping, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. At the main park headquarters entrance there is a park store, flush toilets, and picnicking area.

Day Use Fees:
$5.00 per person ages 12 and older
$2.00 per person ages 6 through 11
All children under 6 and NH residents 65 and older are FREE
The Pavilion Area:
The pavilion is open on 4 sides with a roof. The area has 10 tables and can accommodate up to 50 people. There is one stand up grill and one pit grill available. Public restrooms are a short walk from the area. The Pavilion is located at Monadnock Headquarters main entrance, in the heart of the park's day-use area, providing quick access to the extensive trail system. The fee for the pavilion is based upon attendance, which is listed below. The full $100 fee is due upon making reservation.
Additional Information the Renter Should Know:
Pets are not allowed in Monadnock State Park. Please note this law includes all trails and areas on Mount Monadnock.
Generators are not allowed.
Trash is not to be burned or left behind.
NH Parks have a carry in/carry out policy for trash.
Water balloons, balloon releases, confetti, and silly string are prohibited
Nails, screws, staples and any other items that will damage the structure are not allowed.
The pavilion opens at 8 am so we may clean the space prior to your arrival. Please contact park staff if an early arrival is needed.
Equipment rentals need to be set up and removed the same day unless granted prior permission from the park manager.
If renters wish to have outside vendors, liability insurance is required no less than 2 weeks prior to planned event.
Special use permits are required for, but not limited to, events that are outside the normal recreational activities for the requested area. Any questions should be discussed with park staff prior to the event. There is a processing fee of $100.
All special use permits require certificate of insurance liability with a minimum of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate.
