K'esugi Ken Campground is the most modern camping facility within Denali State Park.

Facilities
Facilities include a ranger station, 32 RV campsites, 10 walk-in campsites, paved roads, a group camping area, three public-use cabins, a new hiking trail to alpine areas plus a network of trails for a range of abilities, and an interpretive center/pavilion.

Nearby Attractions
The Curry Ridge Trail began construction in 2016 as part of the first phase of the South Denali Project. It gently climbs 1100 feet up to the lower bench of Curry Ridge and provides access to the rolling tundra terrain of the Lake 1787 area. Views of the Alaska Range and Denali are spectacular from many points along the trail. Timberline is at 1500 feet, where the trail breaks out of the woods and into a subalpine mosaic of alder and tundra patches. Watch for moose and bears throughout the area. PLEASE conserve the sensitive alpine habitat of alpine areas by staying on developed trails. The trail currently terminates at Lake 1787. Construction will continue to expand the trail in future years.

Campsites are reservable from the third Friday in May through early September (depending on camp host coverage). After camp host coverage ends, all campgrounds are first come first served until the campground closes for the season (weather dependent).

Reservations for individual campsites and group campsites may be made up to 7 months in advance, but no later than 48 hours prior to your arrival date check-in time (1:00pm).

Campers may stay no longer than 7 nights in any thirty-day period.

Saving campsites is prohibited. Campers must be physically present in the site at least the first night of stay.

Two vehicles are allowed in each campsite, provided they fit without placing wheels off the gravel surface nor extend into the roadway. Vehicle is defined as a registered highway vehicle, towing vehicle or trailer; tow vehicle + trailer = 2 vehicles.

Extra vehicles in a campsite will be required to pay daily parking fees. Extra vehicles using electricity in an RV site will be required to pay camping fees.

Check-in time is 1:00 PM for all reservations (local park time).

Check-out time is 12:00 Noon for all reservations. Late checkouts may incur additional fees unless prior arrangements have been made with park staff.

Quiet Hours are 11 PM through 7 AM. This includes the use of generators. Please be considerate of fellow campers and arrive early (prior to 11 PM) to set up your campsite. The noise created from setting up is often disturbing to other campers. If all-night generator use is required for medical reasons, check-in first with the camphost or park ranger.

Campfires are allowed in metal fire-rings only.

All pets must be kept on a leash no longer than nine feet, and not be left unattended. Campers are responsible to clean up after their pet.
