WINTER NOTICE: The cabins are not drive-up accessible in the winter time. You must hike to the cabin from the plowed parking area. Please do not drive around the barricades and drive on the groomed ski trails.
Sleeps 8 (maximum 10) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. Be advised that the campground host site is roughly 10 feet from the cabin, and a host RV will be parked in that site during the summer months. Parking is available at the Campground Host Site in the tent campground if there is no host present. Winter parking may be designated nearby depending on snow depths. It includes an outside fire ring and picnic table, plus a table and benches inside. The cabin has limited electricity for lights and small accessories (electric heaters or hotplates will not work). Bringing alternate lighting is recommended, power outages are frequent. A small bedroom has one 60"x80" wood sleeping platform. The 20'x12' loft is accessed by spiral stairs and is extra space for sleeping on the floor or gear. The cabin sleeps up to 12 people and may only be available during winter months (see reservation calendar). Cabin is equipped with a covered deck, wood stove, table, benches, broom and snow shovel. A combination lock provides security on one door (combination provided after reservation in an e-mail - if you do not receive this e-mail within a few hours of making the reservation, please call the DNR Public Information Center at (907) 269-8400 with your reservation number handy to obtain the combination). Vaulted toilets are nearby. Cabin is ADA accessible. K'esugi Ken Campground and Denali Public Use Cabin is located at MP 135.4 George Parks Highway. Driving time from Anchorage is 2-2.5 hours. Follow the highway signs to the entrance road. K'esugi Ken Road is two miles long up a curvy hill. All-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during winter months. The cabin is located within the Tent Campground loop. Be advised there is no wood provided at the cabin. Renters must bring their own firewood.
