WINTER NOTICE: The cabins are not drive-up accessible in the winter time. You must hike to the cabin from the plowed parking area. Please do not drive around the barricades and drive on the groomed ski trails.
Sleeps 6 (maximum 8) with a maximum stay of 5 consecutive nights. Parking is available at Campsite #1 in the tent campground. Winter parking may be designated nearby depending on snow depths. Cabin has a full campsite adjacent including a tent pad, fire-ring, food storage locker and picnic table (for cabin renters only). Charcoal or hibachi-type grills may only be used in the outdoor fire-ring. Four double-sized (43"x78") plywood bunk platforms can sleep up to 8 people, 4-6 comfortably, plus a small table and benches. The 16'x10' loft is accessed by spiral stairs and is extra space for sleeping on the floor or gear storage. Cabin is equipped with a covered deck, wood stove, table, benches, broom and snow shovel. A combination lock provides security on one door (combination provided after reservation in an e-mail - if you do not receive this e-mail within a few hours of making the reservation, please call the DNR Public Information Center at (907) 269-8400 with your reservation number handy to obtain the combination). Vaulted toilets are nearby. Includes an outdoor deck with a spectacular view of Denali and the Alaska Range. Cabin is ADA accessible. K'esugi Ken Campground and Hunter Public Use Cabin is located at MP 135.4 George Parks Highway. Driving time from Anchorage is 2-2.5 hours. Follow the highway signs to the entrance road. K'esugi Ken Road is two miles long up a curvy hill. All-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during winter months. The cabin is located within the Tent Campground loop. Be advised there is no wood provided at the cabin. Renters must bring their own firewood.
