The Idaho City Yurts are designed to be a self-guided backcountry experience. There are no park employees on-site.
Yurt renters are responsible for being familiar with the yurt Summer/Winter Guides for the yurt they rent. These guides provide valuable information regarding trip planning, warnings, safety, equipment list, and facilities.
Due to the remote locations, renters should be prepared to spend a night outdoors or in a vehicle if needed.
By booking an Idaho City Backcountry Yurt you and your party agree to all terms and conditions detailed on the Department website.
Yurt Access Code:
It is your responsibility to take the yurt access code with you! All yurts will have a lock on the door. You will receive an email 2 weeks, and again the day before your scheduled arrival with very important information and the yurt door access code. It is your responsibility to read this important information and to be certain to take the code with you. Failure to do so will result in the inability to obtain entry to the yurt. If you do not receive an email, please first check your junk folder, then contact IDPR by email at zane.patterson@idpr.idaho.gov or by calling 208.514.2418 no less than 48 hours in advance of your arrival. No refunds are given for failure to obtain the yurt door access code. Take the combination with you.
Park N Ski Parking Pass: From November 15th through April 30th you are responsible for purchasing and displaying a Park N' Ski Pass in your vehicle. Passes can be purchased here.
Whitebark Pine: Please review important information about natural resource conservation in the area here.
