Alcoholic beverages, firearms (including fireworks) and other weapons are prohibited.

All campers must check in at the main park office before proceeding to the campgrounds
Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet and cannot be left unattended. Pets are not allowed inside park buildings.
Posted quiet hours are enforced. Building fires in undesignated areas is prohibited.
Unlicensed vehicles, motorcycles, golf carts, ATV's and mini-bikes are prohibited with the exception of mobility-aid devices used by a mobility-impaired person. All vehicles are prohibited from walkways, trails and other areas not designated for such purposes.

Any natural water collected should be properly treated before consumption. Potable water is not available at the campsites nor are natural waters tested for consumption.
Drinking water is available at the Cole Mill Picnic Area.
Split firewood is often provided at campgrounds. Check ahead regarding wood availability. Campers may collect dead and down firewood anywhere within sight of the campsites.
Do not leave fires unattended
Trash must be packed out.
Cole Mill Access Gate opens 9:00 a.m. Closes: May-August 8:30 p.m. March, April, September, October 7:30 p.m. November-February 5:30 p.m.
Park Gate locks at night. No access during closed hours.
Quiet Hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
North Carolina state park rules and regulations are posted in each park and enforced by rangers. Violating these rules and regulations is a misdemeanor and may result in a fine and revocation of permit.
Tents must be pitched and fit on the provided pads.
State vehicle and traffic laws are enforced, and the speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
