Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
- Valid until 7 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
- Available up to 1 month in advance.
- Not transferrable to another person or park.
- Also sold at the park, if available.
Driving Directions
From Dallas:
Take I-20 west to FM 1382 exit. Park is located 4.5 miles south on FM 1382.
From Austin and Waco: Take I 35W (Ft Worth) and exit on Hwy 67 North at Alvarado. Travel approximately 25 miles to Cedar Hill. Take the FM 1382 exit. The park is located 2 miles West on FM 1382.

Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (September-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. August 15, 2022 - This county is under a quarantine to prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer to other areas of the state. This means movement of firewood is restricted.

Argentine ants have been identified in Cedar Hill State Park. These invasive ants do not sting. Please be prepared to treat around your vehicle and camping equipment.

$7 per day, per person 13 and older for Day use.
$5 per day, per person 13 and older for Overnight Use.
GATE INFORMATION::
• Main gate hours: 6am to 10pm.
• Combination will be provided to all registered campers & those paying after-hours activity fees. A gate code is provided at the bottom of your camping reservation confirmation email.
Reservations can be made for up to 14 consecutive nights; campers must vacate the park for one night before returning.
