Interior sites at Big Bend Ranch SP are accessible by rugged unpaved roads only. RVs and trailers not outfitted with high clearance off-road suspensions are strongly discouraged from reserving interior sites. If you would like to reserve a site that can accommodate a standard RV or trailer, check availability for sites in the Barton Warnock Visitor Center location.
These are the Javalin Pens. This is an Equestrian Area located in the Southeast Zone. Must have a 2 Wheel Drive high clearance vehicle to access this site.
Has 2 picnic tables, and several corrals for horses. The equestrian fee is $2 per horse per day, in addition to other park fees. You must obtain a backcountry use permit and bring your own weed-free horse feed. Horses must have documentation of current Coggins tests. This rugged country is hard on horses and horseshoes; you and your horse must be physically fit. Call the park ahead of time to ask about the availability of water for your horse while on the trail.
This site requires a toilet system to occupy. No composting toilet is available. No ''cat-holing'' is allowed. Toilet systems can be purchased at a visitor center. Capacity 12.
