Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals and Groups
In as little as 2 hours, individuals and groups can make a difference in Delaware State Parks. There’s lots of great opportunities like volunteering at a historic site, participating in cleanup activities, maintaining trails, joining an environmental stewardship team, and so much more!

Or, you can easily fill out a Park Volunteer Application and let the parks know what type opportunity interests you. When opportunities that match your criteria arise a parks member will reach out on next steps.
Volunteer Campground Hosting Program
Becoming a Delaware State Parks Campground Host is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself and Delaware’s outdoors. Plus, long-term volunteers with an RV receive a free campsite and utilities while providing volunteer service in Delaware State Parks. Hosts are selected on a first-come, first-served basis during the season, so don’t wait! Simply fill out your Hosting Application Form to apply!

Delaware State Parks Internship Program
Provides opportunities for qualified students and career-focused graduates to apply learned theory and experience to practical situations and to observe an organization first-hand.
Work-Based Learning Program
School year, team-based, volunteer program for high school juniors and seniors providing meaningful hands-on park projects as a means of connecting academic work with practical job readiness skills in a real-world workplace environment. Not just for those interested in environmental or conservation careers. Students select morning or afternoon slots to fit their schedule. In partnership with the Dept. of Education, may be suitable for career pathway credit towards graduation.
Youth Conservation Corps
Summer jobs program providing hands on work experience along with environmental awareness opportunities for young people aged 14 – 21 These are environmentally focused, outdoor summer jobs, not a summer camp experience; Corps members should expect to work hard, get dirty, and make a difference.
