Hearthstone Point, Adirondacks Region
Most of the major highways that serpentine through the Adirondacks magnificent landscape have been officially designated as Scenic Byways giving you access to view what has been designated as “forever wild,” land that is largely undisturbed by human activity. Hearthstone Point a great basecamp to explore the area. The campground offers tent and trailer sites, hot showers, flush toilets, a trailer dump station, a recycling center, handicapped accessibility, a sand beach, a swimming area, and a gazebo.
Woodland Valley, Catskills Region
The Catskills offer visitors lush forests with meadows, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, rare plants, and wildlife. Woodland Valley campground is located at the foot of the tallest peak, Slide Mountain. The park offers tent and trailer sites, a picnic area with tables and grills, flush toilets, hot showers, a trailer dump station, a recycling center, and a pay phone, most of which are handicapped-accessible.

Lake Erie State Park, Allegany Region
The Allegany Region is full of lakes and streams, wildlife, trails and rolling countryside, offering a full range of outdoor fun for all four seasons. The park features lake access, cabins, rustic and electric campsites, showers, picnic areas with grills, pavilions, a dump station and playgrounds.
Gilbert Lake State Park, Central Region
In the Central Region you can sit on a bluff overlooking one of the Great Lakes, where the sunset matches the best in the world. See first-hand the lush valleys, glacially carved lakes and rolling hills that are a camper’s paradise. Make sure to visit Gilbert Lake where visitors can enjoy the beach, boating, accessible cabins and campsites (with showers and a dumping station), a disc golf course, playground, food concessions, and picnic tables. In addition to cabins and campsites, the park has more than 12 miles of interconnecting trails for hikers, skiers, snowmobilers and snowshoers.
Buttermilk Falls State Park, Finger Lakes Region
Finger Lakes is a water-lover’s utopia, with lakes, cascading waterfalls, rivers and creeks, all carved thousands of years ago by ice-age glaciers. All of this makes for some of the best wine-growing areas in the world. Stay at Buttermilk Falls at one of the cabins or campsites with nearby access to the nature trail, picnic tables and pavilions, playground, playing fields, showers, and waterfalls.

Darien Lakes State Park, Genessee Region
Visitors to this region enjoy incredible river gorge views, Lake Ontario waterfront, and unlimited outdoor adventure. Darien Lakes State Park is located in south-western Genesee County, roughly centered between Letchworth State Park and Niagara Falls State Park. The park’s campsites are equipped with electricity, except for the 13 primitive sites. There are heated comfort stations and showers. Swimming is permitted at our beach when lifeguards are on duty.
Wildwood State Park, Long Island Region
Long Island is home to 32 state parks known for wonderful beaches, excellent fishing, boating and championship golf. Campers can enjoy some of the finest parks and outdoor recreation on the East Coast including Wildwood with over 300 campsites and ten cottages. You’ll enjoy the two-mile sandy beach on Long Island Sound for swimming or relaxing at the shaded picnic tables.
Evangola State Park, Niagara Region
Is it the power of the mighty Niagara Falls or the catch from the bountiful rivers and lakes or the rich history that attracts so many visitors to the Niagara Region? Find out for yourself and stay at Evangola. The Park’s major attraction is its beautiful arc-shaped shoreline and natural sand beach on Lake Erie. Most of the facilities are accessible. The beach and a snack shack are both within walking distance of the campground.
Beaver Pond State Park, Palisades Region
On a clear day, you can see the New York City skyline from the highlands region just up the Hudson River. Whether it’s the endless vistas, the thrill of rock climbing, or taking a step back in time at the many military battlefields and historic sites, the Palisades Region offers so much to do and see. Beaver Pond has comfortable camping, a relaxing atmosphere, a beach, and plenty of outdoor activities make this a great destination not far from New York City.
Moreau Lake State Park, Saratoga Region
From the excitement of horse racing at Saratoga to water sports on the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, and from important Revolutionary War sites in the area to the seat of state government at the Capitol and Empire State Plaza in Albany, the Saratoga/Capital Region keeps people entertained. Moreau Lake is a great place to stay in the region with quiet and secluded wooded campsites. The sandy beach, nature, hiking and cross-country ski trails, opportunities for boating, fishing and ice fishing, and proximity to the Saratoga Spring and Lake George areas make the park attractive to visitors.
Lake Taghkanic State Park, Taconic Region
The Taconic Region lies along the east side of the Hudson River, north of New York City, and is known for its spectacular views, stately mansions, and rich history. The park is situated next to Lake Taghkanic in the rolling hills and lush forests. There are tent and trailer campsites and cabin and cottage camping facilities, two beaches, picnic grounds, and a boat launch. In addition, the park has hiking, biking, cross-country ski and snowmobile trails.
Higley Flow State Park, Thousand Islands Region
The region is known for some of the best boating and fishing in the world and nearly all of the state parks have campgrounds with accommodations ranging from primitive camping to cabins and full-service cottages. Higley Flow is nestled among the Adirondack foothills on the picturesque Raquette River. The park has a beach, boat launch sites, a fully accessible picnic area with pavilions, tables, and a playground, and a nature trail. Well-spaced, handicapped-accessible campsites have blacktop driveways, picnic tables, and fireplaces, and campgrounds have dumping stations and showers.
