Many times, campers wish to fit in a little work while out camping. Working remotely while you experience the fun of this nation’s state parks is something that’s possible to do. Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado
With the Wi-Fi in this state park, you can get in some work time while enjoying many recreation opportunities with the family during your off time. The large lake provides boating, sailing and fishing. On land you can go biking and birdwatching. Some of the birds you will see with a sharp eye are the bald eagle, the northern harrier, the red-tailed hawk, and many shorebirds and waterfowl. In the winter months based on snow and weather conditions, you’ll be able to experience cross-country skiing and try your hand at ice fishing. The park is open year-round.

Jack Hill State Park, Georgia
Jack Hill State Park, in Southeast Georgia, covers over 662 square miles of fun and things to do for the whole family. The 12-acre lake provides plentiful fishing opportunities and visitors can rent fishing boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and aquacycles in the summer months.
For young golf enthusiasts, the park offers a miniature golf course and for older golfers, a 17 hole course which plays over scenic wetlands to a large island green.
There are 29 spacious sites for RVs or tents, and 1 walk-in site, as well as 8 cottages. Wi-Fi is available in the park office & golf course clubhouse.

Cook Forest State Park, Pennsylvania
For scenic views, this state park is outstanding. The Historic Fire Tower #9 gives you a breathtaking view of points 15 miles away and sometimes further, on a clear day. Simply climb up the 80-foot tower to enjoy the views. On the ledges of rock of the Seneca Point Overlook, you can discover the scenic Clarion River Valley. Hike among the stands of hemlocks and white pines. The section called Forest Cathedral has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Canoeing, kayaking, and rafting are well liked adventures on the Clarion River where it stretches through the park.
Each of the 210 campsites in the park has a picnic table and a fire ring. The full hook-up sites include water, electric and sewage. Campers can stay connected and even get some work done as Wi-Fi is available in select locations which include the park office.
Pokagon State Park, Indiana
Pokagon State Park has a historic interest, as it was named after Leopold Pokagon and his son Simon. They were famous leaders of the Potawatomi Indian tribe. The rich Native American heritage was celebrated in this park and the region by taking on the name of these famous men. The Potawatomi Inn in the park gets its name from these native peoples. Two lakes, Lake James and Snow Lake, provide many outdoor activities no matter the time of year. Fishing and ice fishing are the preferred activities. Casting in a line offers the opportunity to catch northern pike, yellow perch, or largemouth bass. Hiking is exciting any time of year, and in the winter, the thrill of a toboggan run awaits you. The ride takes you at speeds of 35 to 40 mph along a quarter-mile twin track.
With 200 campsites providing electric hook-ups and 73 without, you are sure to find the ideal spot. Wi-Fi is available at the Potawatomi Inn which you can access from outside or inside.
Bastrop State Park, Texas
Family fun is abundant at this state park in Texas. There are so many things to do; you may have a difficult time deciding what you should try first. Perhaps wildlife viewing is your favorite, or paddling the El Camino Real or the Wilbarger Paddling Trails. There are seven miles of hiking trails where you can explore the growing forest. Biking the scenic park roads is a lot of fun, particularly the hilly 12-mile road that runs between Bastrop and Buescher State Parks. You don’t need a license to fish from the shore of Lake Mina in this park so you should certainly give it a go. There are ranger programs for all ages, and the kids can pick up a free Junior Ranger Activity Journal so they can become a junior ranger by completing tasks to earn a badge.
With a wide array of campsites, you will have a great choice of spots. There are 35 full hook-up sites, 19 campsites with electricity, 16 campsites with water and 6 walk-in campsites with water. Wi-Fi is available near the office or Visitor Center.
