Snow tubing is an easy answer for a fun-filled winter day. Adults and kids can get in on the excitement of sliding and bouncing down a snow-covered hill on an inflated tube. 1. Kooser State Park, Pennsylvania

Kooser State Park is a quick 5 minute drive to Hidden Valley Snow Tubing, a park dedicated to a variety of tubing runs and chutes for hours of fun. The park attracts visitors year-round for its lush forests and trout stream. Created in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the park’s appeal is its spacious and private campsites. Visitors can also hike, cross country ski, and snowshoe in winter, while staying at one of 43 campsites, including 9 cabins.
2. Letchworth State Park, New York
Why we love it:

– Dramatic terrain with cliffs and gorges
– Voted the Best State Park in 2015
Dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park is beloved for its dramatic terrain of high cliffs and deep gorges with the Genesee River roaring through it. The setting makes for a spectacular backdrop for winter sports. There are snow tubing lanes, as well as snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing opportunities. Stay in one of 248 campsites or 66 cabins within the park. Cabin availability may be limited through mid-April 2020 due to renovations.
3. Spring Mill State Park, Indiana

For snow tubers in search of adventure, Spring Mill State Park is less than a half hour drive to Paoli Peaks, a small ski resort with 9 snow-tubing lanes, as well as skiing and snowboarding runs. Spring Mill State Park itself is a historical center and natural attraction. There is an interactive Pioneer Village in homage to the area’s past as a settler community, and the Gus Grissom Memorial honors this American astronaut. The park is located within the Mitchell Karst Plain, a unique topographical region characterized by limestone caves and sinkholes. There are 230 campsites, including full hookup and 5 shelters for rent.
4. Willard Bay State Park, Utah
Why we love it:

– A short ride to a dedicated snow tubing park
– Plenty of camping, including cabins and rentable camper trailers
Located within the floodplains of the Great Salt Lake, Willard Bay State Park is set alongside the banks of a large reservoir. A favorite spot for fishing during warmer months, Willard Bay is a wintertime destination for bird-lovers wanting to catch sight of nesting eagles. Visitors can stay at Willard Bay in one of the 90 campsites, 3 cabins or 2 camper trailers. If you’re in search of a snow tubing adventure, take a short drive to Wasatch Parc. This is a dedicated snow tubing park with curved tubing lanes.
5. Mueller State Park, Colorado
Why we love it:
– Snow tubing hills of varying lengths and difficulties in the park
– Beautiful setting amidst aspen trees and conifer forest near Pike’s Peak
– Also a great spot for sledding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing
With iconic Pikes Peak rising in the distance, Mueller State Park is a scenic wonderland set amidst aspen and conifer forests, mountain meadows and giant granite rock formations. There are designated snow tubing lanes within the park at different lengths and difficulties for the whole family to enjoy. The diverse topography that defines the park also makes it a great spot for sledding, as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing. During winter, the three furnished log cabins are available for rent. During warmer months, there are an additional 119 campsites, including 10 electrical sites.
